POSITION SUMMARY Lead overall assigned plant operation to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company's quality standards and customer delivery requirements; oversee operations of plant production; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Direct the planning, development, and administration of assigned plant operation to include production operations, manufacturing activities, operational schedules maintenance, logistics, industrial engineering, purchasing quality, and financial Direct the administration and maintenance of plant policies and practices Oversee shift production schedules; review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delay Lead and oversees plant programs including preventative maintenance, operational efficiency of equipment, capital expenditures, security, quality and food safety; provide recommends to improve the efficiency Develop, lead and implement action plan to meet performance objectives and cost effective systems goals; monitor KPIs, operating expenditures, personnel and wages Guide production team to resolve work related problems; provide recommendations Partner and develop relationships with key stakeholders as it relates to plant operations; obtain and review proposals; negotiate contracts including utility rates and adherence to regulations (i.e wastewater discharge); makes recommendations for selection Manage and supervise direct reports to include talent attraction and retention training, performance management evaluation, development and coaching personnel. Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years' work-related experience Seven (7) years of manufacturing experience Five (5) years of supervisory experience License/Certifications N/A
Preferred Qualifications SQF certification HACCP certification Bilingual in English and Spanish KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA's ) Strong leadership and management skills Effective interpersonal skills Effective written, verbal and presentation skills, with ability to present to all staff levels Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong analytical and negotiation skills with attention to details Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving Effective relationship building skills Efficient project management skills ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS Office and plant environment with exposure to noise, equipment and machinery Facility temperature varies between 32 and 95 degrees, may occasionally exceed 95 degrees PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time Working hours will be spent in the plant or office environment Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets should be worn on a regular basis
