This role provides overall clinical supervision for the site and ensures appropriate delivery of medical care, both onsite and offsite. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Consult with community medical providers to address patient service delivery issues. Oversee all clinical services provided by professional and paraprofessional staff. Ensure availability for on-call services. Annually review and approve clinical protocols, policies, and emergency plans. Manage referrals to external healthcare facilities, ensuring quality and continuity of care. Sponsor Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in compliance with state law. Act as a resource for all facility Physicians and clinical staff. Assist in the recruitment and credentialing of healthcare providers. Participate in in-service training programs. Represent the healthcare program in local community discussions and with officials as needed. Attend required medical and clinical meetings. Provide chronic and emergency care as requested. Document all patient encounters accurately. Ensure all documentation is clear, signed, and timely. Follow evidence-based standards of care in alignment with existing policies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Graduate from an accredited medical school. Fully licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin. Current DEA Registration. Board certified or board eligible in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) preferred, with experience in corrections and/or managed healthcare. Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills. Ability to make independent decisions and resolve issues effectively. Effective interpersonal skills to interact with staff, families, and external personnel. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities. No direct threat to health or safety of individuals in the workplace.
