The Psychiatric Patient Care Director has twenty four (24) hour accountability for the management of the Psychiatry Department, managerial responsibility for the supervision, direction and support of the Psychiatric Staff to meet the needs of the patients/medical center. Coordinates and facilitates nursing activities on the psychiatric unit by performing the following duties: 1. Participates effectively on committees in Behavioral Health Services. 2. Demonstrates continued assessment of processes. 3. Coordinates nursing portion of the Acute Behavioral Health Services Quality Improvement Program. 4. Ensures that the unit staff maintains a positive, consumer-oriented focus. 5. Promotes and encourages staff participation in performance improvement activities. What We're Looking For
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Baccalaureate degree required; or currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate program; Master’s Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Five years clinical experience; 3 years management experience preferred. LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of New Jersey; RNC preferred. CPR Certification as per hospital policy. What We Offer
