Position at BAART Programs Description Part-Time Medical Director Needed - Bennington, VT Schedule: 15 hours/weekly (7am to 12pm, 3 days per week, flexible) Days Preferred: Flexible Responsibilities Perform professional physician services and administrative duties. Ensure staff practice Universal Precautions and emergency procedures. Work under supervision and assume medical responsibility in the Medical Director’s absence. Supervise dispensing of narcotic replacement therapy and medications. Essential Job Functions Provide physician services with minimal supervision. Educate patients and counselors on medication use and side effects. Maintain medical records. Coordinate with outside medical practitioners. Ensure compliance with policies and contractual obligations. Conduct peer reviews quarterly. Maintain valid professional license. Review patient treatment plans and medication dosages. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Excellent communication skills with diverse populations. Problem-solving and analytical abilities. Knowledge of drug rehabilitation is helpful. Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work independently and in a team. Attention to detail and good charting skills. Minimum Qualifications Board Certified/Eligible in Addiction Medicine or Primary Care. Licensed in Vermont in good standing. Valid DEA registration. Medicaid/Medicare eligible. At least 6 months of addiction medicine experience preferred. Rehabilitation training and knowledge.
