Part-time Associate Director of Admission

A bachelor's degree and strong communication skills are required. Coaching experience preferred. When determining placement in the salary range, Millbrook School considers total professional experience, number of years working at Millbrook School, and other factors permitted by law. Depending upon responsibilities, salary will be calculated as a percentage between 50% and 100% of the annual salary listed on this posting.

Responsibilities of the Associate Director of Admission:
- Interview prospective families
- Assist with daily management of Millbrook Ambassadors, the student tour guide program
- Travel on behalf of Millbrook School to recruit prospective families and develop relationships with school partners at off-campus receptions, admission fairs, and industry conferences
- Continuously develop relationships with school partners: educational consultants, feeder schools, and community-based organization across the country and abroad
- Assist with all Admission Office operations on campus
- Attend and help organize on-campus events
- Manage research and communications projects
- Read applications and make admission decisions as a part of the admission committee
- POTENTIAL: Serve as a member of the residential life team, an athletic coach (or supervisor of equivalent extracurricular offerings), and advisor to current students
Education and Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a captivating presence with prospective families.
- Coaching experience preferred.
- Must be highly organized, possess an analytical mindset, be proactive and ambitious.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Zoom, and education management software preferred.
- Faculty members must have a clean & valid driver's license.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have patience, tact, and enthusiasm when dealing with personnel, students, and families.
- Must be proficient in the composition of written communication.
PHYSICAL & SENSORY REQUIREMENTS (with or without the aid of a mechanic device)
- Must function independently and be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be able to work in person, on campus.
- Must be flexible and willing to adapt to new technology, teaching methods and/or schedules.
- Must be able to physically teach, coach, advise, attend meetings & be an active member of residential life.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., without restrictions.
- If coaching, must be willing & able to travel & attend sporting events on nights and weekends.
- Faculty members must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Typical office and classroom conditions.
- Involved in residential life in the dining hall, chapel and dorms.
- Outdoor weather and/or indoor conditions while coaching.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including car, airplane, and train travel.
