POSITION SUMMARY:
This position manages EMS Unlimited Operational and Market Development duties/tasks and business relationships of an assigned region. Success is achieved through motivating team members to achieve excellence and through the development of relationships with surrounding healthcare system stakeholders.
Must have excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills, and the ability to build working relationships with customers and base personnel.
Must be a “Culture Champion”

SCHEDULE :
Place of work will be in Topeka, Kansas – travel to other bases within the region required when operations demonstrate a need. Travel to Colorado at least once per year for leadership development will be required.
Flexible schedule allows for allocation of time based on a balance of professional and personal needs. Set work hours will not be required – working day’s and times will vary based on operational and business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee must possess and apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of a Manager in a dignified and compassionate manner, including but not limited to:
Support staff in day to day operations of the assigned base
Provide team training through Orientations and as needed for clinical and operational topics
Monitor operational and clinical functions and ensure compliance with company, local, regional, state and federal standards
Ensure all equipment, apparatus and personnel are in compliance with state regulations.
Interface with other local EMS peers and organizations
Interface and communicate with applicable facility stakeholders (Hospitals and other healthcare institutions) to ensure customer satisfaction and community needs for the services provided are met.
Drive business growth through effective relationship management and marketing/outreach activities
Expectations & Specific tasks:
Promote, encourage and maintain a positive work culture centered around EMS Unlimited values
Monitor staff satisfaction and job fulfillment, make recommendations and reports to direct supervisor
Promote engagement and activities that elevate the performance of the organization
Manage, build and maintain an operational schedule of staff
Conduct regular meetings with hospitals and other applicable service users to ensure customer service meets or exceeds expectations.
Prepare data and reports for review of operational and clinical data for evaluations of performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for clinical staff assigned to the base.
Monitor and coordinate maintenance and upkeep activities for biomedical equipment, apparatus and apparatus supplies.
Manage and coordinate upkeep and maintenance of EMS Unlimited facilities and buildings.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner through both written and verbal communication mediums.
Adhere to and enforce company standards and doctrines - participate in doctrine revisions and updates:
Ensure all operations are compliant with local, federal and state laws, such as but not limited to:
Other duties as assigned.
The employee must also:
Meet requirements of an EMS Unlimited Transport Paramedic
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses
Follow, promote and support company values and manager core competencies
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Requirements
Must be proficient in:
Email use and other forms of communication
Spreadsheets and Word Processing
Other forms of IT and data management such as emsCharts and PSTrax
Minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of high school completion
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
5 years of field EMS experience is preferred.
5 years of leadership & management experience
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
The employee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, current state Paramedic certification, CPR and ACLS.
Additional certifications preferred: FP-C, CCT, PHTLS, ATLS, PALS, EPC, AMLS, Hazmat
