While working with the Director of Child Care Service, the OST Director oversees the operations of all out-of-school time programming, ensuring the program meets its goals, specifically licensed after-school and Camp Greendale on Indian Lake programs.
Essential Functions Assists in recruiting diverse staff and volunteers, manages staff schedules, and evaluates staff performance.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with staff, parents/caregivers, and community organizations; communicates clearly and concisely.
Builds relationships with schools and community stakeholders regarding program goals and student needs.
Evaluates children's progress and completes EEC progress reports bi-annually.
Ensures programs meet community needs by supervising existing activities, creating new ones, and expanding as needed; assists in marketing and distributing program information.
Promotes teamwork with a positive approach to supervision, communication, and interactions, maintaining ongoing community with the supervisor and staff.
Plans and implements engaging programs and events for parents and families; provides ongoing support networks for participants.
Ensures compliance with all state licensing regulations and maintains staff and child records related to EEC re-licensing.
Facilitates easy registration and conducts regular audits for record accuracy.
Markets programs for recruitment and storytelling.
Supervises the OST coordinator and camp specialists.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old.
Bachelor’s degree in youth development or education preferred.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience working with children under 13 and at least one year of supervisory experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills; active listening skills.
Positive role model with leadership, conflict resolution, and diplomacy skills.
Ability to manage daily administrative, program-related, and supervisory responsibilities.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm; evenings and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt.
Pay: $52,000 per year.
