DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The Impact you will have in this role: Operational & Third Party Risk protects the firm's interests by fostering a culture of risk awareness, promoting effective and resilient business operations, and enabling strategic decision-making. We achieve this by setting thoughtful and efficient policies and standards, providing expert advice and guidance on matters of risk and control, and delivering regular reporting and insights to the Board and Senior Management.
Key Functional Remits include:
Risk appetite, tolerance, and emerging & systemic risks
Risk incidents, reporting, and lessons learned
Management control testing framework
Operational risk policies and standard
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and oversight of Operational Risk activities to meet department and company goals. Responsible for responding to regulatory requests, exams and audits. Ensure policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements.
Advance and articulate a long-term strategy for the team consistent with the corporate vision. Ensure departmental goals are tied to company strategic pillars. Holds self and management accountable for measurable high-quality, and cost-effective results.
Collaborate across control functions to build strategic partnerships and achieve common goals. Act in an advisory capacity during working group meetings.
Establish department culture of communication, trust, diversity, employee satisfaction, and employee growth and development. Provide guidance on policies, practices, and procedures for staff and partners at all levels of the organization.
Display a high comfort level presenting key metrics, enhancements to audiences at all levels of the organization, including risk committees. Ability to speak to external regulators, demonstrating a proficient level of understanding of internal processes.
Establish a robust risk and governance framework to achieve optimal levels of risk mitigation, process efficiency and regulatory compliance. Continuously find opportunities for improvement and cost effectiveness.
Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization through presentations, working group meetings, and within internal team. Motivate teams to accomplish important and complex tasks that move the organization forward.
Demonstrate ability to make quick, well-informed decisions. Ability to problem solver and demonstrates adaptability in an environment of ever-changing regulatory requirements and evolving technology.
Develop dedicated team of employees who can lead critical departments and manage strategic business functions. Drive the talent, resource, and location strategies across teams. Ensure team is evaluated, recognized, and rewarded.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of related experience in Operational and/or Enterprise Risk experience at large complex financial services firm, SIFI or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:

Prior direct experience or frequent collaboration with IT and Technology Risk Management

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
