The Opportunity: We are expanding the primary care experience and seeking energetic leaders to manage people, processes and technology that make One Medical unique. As Office Medical Director, you will lead your local team in clinical excellence and sustainability, in collaboration with your manager, the District Medical Director and the Office Manager. You will develop your management and leadership skills while learning about our business and operations and engaging your local team. Responsibilities Manage a team of in-office providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, and/or PAs) and ensure providers meet clinical standards and patient care needs Guide and support providers’ professional development Partner with Office Manager to support a collaborative, positive office community Manage communication between your office and other districts, regional and central teams; represent One Medical to the local community Own specific office management and HR functions Manage a patient panel with a broad array of needs; conduct acute, chronic and well visits Treat patients in-office or in testing centers and conduct occasional tele-health visits Engage in ongoing learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and other modalities Collaborate with in-office teammates via daily huddles and with virtual clinical teams Utilize your clinical training and opportunities to perform in-office procedures Supervise one or more NP or PA colleagues Education, Licenses, and Experience Enrolled in, or completed, an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program or NP/PA program Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting, or completed a residency program in the last 5 years Minimum of 1 year managing a team of providers Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of start date State licensed in Massachusetts, obtained before start date Required Qualities A passion for human-centered primary care Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care Ability to coach and develop others and align career development with organizational goals Ability to establish clear responsibilities and monitor work, holding self and others accountable Ability to address difficult issues and support others who do the same Ability to build diverse teams and foster inclusive collaboration Ability to create a climate that motivates best performance by inviting input and sharing ownership This is a full-time role based in Newton, MA.
