Defining Wellness Centers is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursing Director to guide our nursing team in delivering outstanding care to our clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Facilitate nursing training and orientation for new staff members. Provide mentorship and support to nursing personnel. Manage all medical documentation, including MARS, medication disposal, prescription refills, policies & procedures, medical profiles, chart reviews, and incident reports. Stay current on evidence-based practices in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Nursing. Oversee the assessment and monitoring of all newly arrived clients, both directly and through nursing staff. Regularly review medical documentation and implement quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping. Evaluate staff performance and develop strategies to enhance strengths and address weaknesses. Act as a liaison with families regarding medical concerns. Conduct departmental meetings to promote communication and teamwork. Coordinate schedules for all nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage. Ensure the Nursing Manual is updated and compliant with DMH and The Joint Commission standards. Approve all admissions through the Pre-Decision form prior to client enrollment. Fill in for nursing staff on shifts as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Physician. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi. Minimum of one year of management or administrative experience is required. Preferred: Two years of experience in substance abuse or inpatient settings.
