This role plays a key part in ensuring effective care coordination and timely access to services. The position will also support outbreak detection, response, and mitigation efforts, contributing to broader public health preparedness and response activities. In addition, the Nurse Director 1 will oversee linkage to care efforts within their designated area, enhancing collaboration among staff and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective patient support. This position involves close collaboration with local health department staff, Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS), regional and state epidemiologists, and healthcare facility personnel. The Nurse Director 1 will help carry out infection prevention and control assessments and coordinate linkage to care services under the Ryan White Part B (RWPB) Program. Location Kanawha County: This position will serve multiple counties in Southern West Virginia. Minimum Qualifications Training: Successful completion of an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program and seven years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse, including three years in an administrative capacity or in supervising other registered professional nurses. OR Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited four-year college or university and four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse, including two years in an administrative capacity or in supervising other registered professional nurses. OR Master's degree in nursing or nursing administration or in public health or public health administration from an accredited four-year college or university and three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse, including one year in an administrative capacity or in supervising other registered professional nurses. OR Baccalaureate degree in the health sciences or behavioral sciences from an accredited four-year college or university and five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse, including one year in an administrative capacity or in supervising other registered professional nurses. Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
