The Funeral Director plays a vital role in guiding families through the process of honoring their loved ones. The Funeral Director is responsible for managing all aspects of funeral arrangements, ensuring that services are conducted with dignity and respect while providing bereavement support to grieving families.

*Duties*

* Coordinate and oversee funeral services, including preparation and transportation of the deceased. * Provide bereavement support to families, helping them navigate their grief and make informed decisions. * Manage all aspects of event planning for memorial services, including venue selection, scheduling, and logistics. * Ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards in all funeral practices. * Perform cosmetic preparations on the deceased, utilizing cosmetology skills to present them respectfully. * Conduct necessary anatomical procedures, including dissection when required. * Assist families with paperwork and legal documentation related to death certificates and burial permits. * Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire process, addressing any concerns or requests from families. * Engage in sales activities related to funeral products and services, offering options that meet family needs.

* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to ensure proper handling of remains. * Excellent customer service skills to foster trust and comfort with grieving families. * Proficiency in funeral directing practices and procedures. * Event planning expertise to organize meaningful memorial services effectively. * Understanding of sanitation protocols to maintain a safe environment for both staff and clients. * Cosmetology skills for preparing the deceased for viewing. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary during the preparation and transportation of remains. * Sales acumen to effectively communicate options available to families while respecting their wishes. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
