Must-Haves:
Active and current RN license in Texas (or eligible to obtain)
Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience
At least 2 years of progressive leadership in a hospital setting (manager or full-time charge nurse role)
AHA BLS certification
Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field, or a BSN
Strong leadership, communication, and hospital operations skills
We are seeking an experienced NICU Nurse Director to provide leadership and support to our clinical teams in Brownsville, TX. This high-impact position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across assigned units.
This role carries 24/7 accountability for the operational and clinical performance of the NICU and other designated departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong nursing judgment, proven leadership ability, and a commitment to excellence in patient care and staff development.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting and collaborating with the CNO on planning, coordination, and evaluation of nursing practices
Managing and developing nursing staff to maintain clinical competence and high standards of care
Ensuring proper resource utilization and safe staffing across units
Serving as a professional role model and advocate for nursing excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field
