Position Overview
The National Director of Sales is a high-impact business development leader responsible for driving top-line revenue across Peachtree Group Hospitality Management portfolio. This role requires a relentless focus on uncovering new business opportunities, executing strategic prospecting plans, and converting leads into high-value accounts. The National Director of Sales will proactively generate demand across the portfolio, driving measurable growth through self-sourced leads and strategic partnerships.
Essential Functions
Business Development & Revenue Generation
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across Peachtree Groups entire portfolio, not just the assigned hotels. Cultivate and convert self-generated leads into qualified business, with a focus on group, extended stay, and corporate accounts. Maintain a high level of outbound activity including cold calling, prospecting, sales blitzes, and networking to fuel the pipeline. Achieve and exceed assigned revenue booking goals and lead generation targets. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Revenue Management teams to ensure the right business mix and maximize profitability.
Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement a robust national sales strategy, with defined KPIs focused on prospecting efforts, lead quality, and conversion rates. Partner with VP of Sales, RDOs, and Revenue Leaders to align business development efforts with property-level needs and market demand. Monitor and respond to performance trends and market shifts; recommend agile strategies to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
Sales Execution & Market Penetration
Leverage portfolio strengths to cross-sell and maximize business impact across multiple assets. Uncover competitor account activity and proactively shift share to Peachtree Group hotels. Manage assigned accounts while continually sourcing new leads to expand the portfolios client base. Travel to represent Peachtree Group in client meetings, site tours, trade shows, and industry events.
Coaching, Collaboration & Reporting
Coach property sales leaders on proactive prospecting best practices and sales conversion techniques. Collaborate with Guest Service teams to convert inquiries and drive walk-in/phone lead conversion. Provide weekly reports summarizing pipeline activity, lead progress, and conversion metrics. Maintain accurate records of sales activity and account engagement in CRM systems.
Qualifications
5+ years of outside hotel sales experience with 2+ years in sales leadership. Proven success in B2B and B2C prospecting and business development with measurable lead conversion results. Deep understanding of hospitality sales processes, ideally across Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. Experience managing or selling across multiple hotel sites is preferred. Must be self-driven, goal-oriented, and skilled at time management in a remote and fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel regularly and maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends.
