Overview JOB TITLE: Director of Sacred Music The Parish of Saint Joseph, Husband of Mary, Las Vegas, Nevada is actively seeking a Director of Sacred Music for its vibrant congregation of over 5,000 families. Prospective Music Ministers should possess a thorough knowledge of Catholic Liturgy and Worship principles. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of organ and piano proficiency. Experience in choral conducting and the ability to play all styles of music is required. SJHOM is blessed with a beautiful, inspiring Yamaha C7 grand piano and a four-manual Rodgers Trillium Masterpiece 1038 organ. Responsibilities Recruit and audition musicians and cantors. Direct our outstanding adult choir and accompany children and youth choirs. Weekly adult choir practices are held September through May. Plan music for weekly liturgies as well as Solemnities and special events such as weddings, funerals and quinceaneras. Collaborate with the Pastor and other staff members. Coordinate ordering of hymnals (currently OCP Breaking Bread.) Attend weekly staff meetings, retreats, and special ministry events.

Qualifications Terms: Full-Time Employee Experience: 2-5 Years in Catholic Music Ministries Education: Undergraduate Degree
