Overview Montclair Early Music (MEM), a nonprofit located in Montclair, New Jersey, seeks to bring the beauty and delight of music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque periods to audiences of all ages. Our mission is to deliver exciting musical performances, organize community events like MedievalFest, and provide free and low-cost music education to seniors and children throughout Essex County, NJ. Role Description The Music Director will oversee music education initiatives and plan and conduct multiple music concerts and other performances each year, including MedievalFest, which attracted over 1,100 attendees last year. The role requires organizing and conducting weekly rehearsals with our ensemble in Montclair, NJ on Thursday evenings. Responsibilities Oversee music education initiatives.
