Our client in DFW, is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Director to join the team. The Mergers and Acquisitions Director will play a strategic leadership role in identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments across North America. This individual will drive inorganic growth opportunities that align with the company’s long-term strategy and enhance its market position within the manufacturing sector. The role requires strong financial acumen, deal execution experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally across business units and senior leadership. This role is open to candidates that would like to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Key Responsibilities:
M&A Strategy & Pipeline Development
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in alignment with corporate strategy.
Partner with executive leadership to refine the company’s acquisition and investment strategy.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities.
Target Evaluation & Due Diligence
Lead financial and strategic evaluation of M&A opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis.
Coordinate and manage due diligence processes across functional areas (finance, legal, operations, HR, IT, etc.).
Assess cultural, operational, and integration fit of target companies.
Deal Execution
Manage all phases of the transaction lifecycle from initial engagement through closing.
Work with external advisors, including investment banks, legal counsel, tax advisors, and consultants.
Develop and negotiate term sheets, purchase agreements, and related transaction documentation.
Post-Merger Integration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute integration strategies that deliver expected synergies and financial outcomes.
Monitor post-acquisition performance and report on integration KPIs.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with potential targets, advisors, intermediaries, and industry leaders.
Represent the company in strategic discussions and industry forums as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
6+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related M&A-intensive environment.
Proven track record of successful M&A execution, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
Strong negotiation and project management skills.
Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders.
Willingness to travel domestically (20–40%) to assess opportunities and manage deals.
