Job Duties:

• Coordinates the development of the unit objectives, policies, and procedures.

• Prepare and provide the  Executive Director with records and reports regarding the unit’s budget and progress toward stated goals.

• Complete related assessments and tools for admission and discharge.

• Pursues educational development in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

• Interviews and assesses all residents and their families prior to admission. Coordinates the pre-admission, screening, and discharge process. Coordinates, with team members, the development of the 24-hour plan for the residents and quarterly updates in the progress notes.

Qualifications for Memory Care Director

Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home or Memory care unit preferred.

Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
