We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Director to support our comprehensive health services. As the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care delivered to our patients, supervising the clinical activities of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and participating in strategic planning to improve health care services. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating patients, ensuring appropriate follow-up, and maintaining availability for after-hours patient care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, prescribing evidence-based treatments and medications. Offer off-hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients as required. Design and engage in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and peer reviews. Supervise clinical activities of medical providers and ensure proper medical documentation. Coordinate patient tests, referrals, and care outside the Health Center. Establish preventive care standards and contribute to the development of related programs. Ensure accurate, legible documentation of medical records. Participate in provider meetings and promote a collaborative working environment. Aim for safe, effective performance that meets patient satisfaction and productivity goals. Qualifications: Doctorate degree (MD, DO, or equivalent). Board certification and a valid physician license. CPR/BLS certification. Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with diagnostic and treatment procedures relevant to nurse practitioners. Proven ability to deliver comprehensive health care services, including preventive health education. Strong collaborative spirit to maintain high-quality standards and enhance client satisfaction. Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
