Position Title: Medical Director Location: Remote (Must hold an active Virginia medical license) Work Hours: Preferred 9 AM – 5 PM, with weekend work required. Flexible schedule available. No more than 40 hours/week.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to support Home and Community-Based Services Utilization Management within Long Term Services and Supports. This is a remote role, collaborating with a full-time Medical Director and a 15-member internal UM team. The Medical Director will be responsible for reviewing authorization requests to determine medical necessity, ensuring compliance with federally mandated turnaround times. The expected daily review volume is 28–35 cases .

Key Responsibilities: Conduct medical necessity reviews for HCBS authorization requests. Collaborate with internal UM team and fellow Medical Director. Ensure timely and compliant decision-making aligned with federal guidelines. Support Medicaid and Medicare members with complex medical and social needs.
