Our partner, a Correctional Facility located in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Medical Director / Physician to join their growing team. This is a safe environment where inmates are shackled. The role will be responsible for overseeing a team of Advanced Practice Providers (~60% clinical and ~40% administrative/nonclinical). Responsibilities Perform comprehensive medical examinations of new inmates Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, RN case managers, medical assistants, administrative staff Supervise and coach a team of advanced practice providers as they provide primary care and urgent care services Monitor all referrals to external health care facilities Oversee clinical staff development and performance Qualifications MD or DO Current, unrestricted license in the state of New Jersey 2+ years of experience as a Physician, preferably within Corrections, Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
