JOB DESCRIPTION: MDTC – Finance Director SALARY SCHEDULE: TASD ($80,340-84,542) DEPARTMENT: MID-DEL TECHNOLOGY CENTER - FINANCE REPORTS TO: MDTC’s Assistant Superintendent FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT - MONDAY-FRIDAY 7:30am-4:00pm/ 235 days OCCASIONAL NIGHTS AND OVERNIGHT TRAVEL SAFETY-SENSITIVE: NO Essential Duties And Responsibilities Leads the MDTC Finance Team and works directly with the Assistant Superintendent and the district CFO on budget reporting, salary projections, cost report, projected budgets, coding, State and Federal Grants reporting, and the annual audit. Leads, supervises and evaluates the Finance/Business Office Personnel (Purchasing Assistant, Inventory Clerk, and Business Office Admin. Asst.). Function as the Local Finance Coordinator in CTIMS, prepare and submit quarterly claims for Federal & State Programs to the ODCTE for reimbursement. Oversee the maintenance of ODCTE IMD and TC-INFO through CTIMS. Oversees the annual budget planning process by guiding MDTC instructors, coordinators, and directors; work with the Assistant Superintendent and leadership team to review, adjust, and finalize budgets that support MDTC’s goals and financial priorities. Completes and submits CareerTech financial reports including cost reports and financial information required by ODCTE, Mid-Del Schools, OSDE and IPEDs financial data. Oversee operating budgets and process transfers to balance allocated monies; ensure MDTC staffing positions have correct OCAS coding. Ensure staff follow procedures regarding allocated and activity accounts. Oversee all financial processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy; review and approve all MDTC purchase orders and requisitions; provide guidance on equipment and construction bidding and the purchasing process. Attend professional development meetings, community events and annual conferences. Additional duties as assigned by the MDTC Assistant Superintendent. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related business field; preferred. Strong computer skills essential (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access; Google Docs/Sheets/Drive); ability to build and format reports. Minimum of 3 years of school finance experience preferred. Knowledge of CareerTech school finance and accounting preferred. Proficiency or willingness to become proficient in CTIMS (ODCTE) and Career Tech guidelines. Ability to build and format reports and analyze data; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple priorities; organization, accuracy, and efficiency. Other Information Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
