Your Impact: As the MDS Director, you will play a crucial role in managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments essential for developing individualized resident care plans and ensuring accurate clinical reimbursement for services provided. Your leadership will uphold the highest standards of revenue integrity while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the MDS program, guaranteeing compliance and accuracy in assessments. Analyze Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) and associated expenses for potential admissions. Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores to identify risks that may impact reimbursement. Train and mentor MDS Coordinators, providing support and guidance. Facilitate comprehensive resident assessments and care planning. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for accurate data collection. Provide ongoing education to facility staff and leadership. Track and analyze assessment data to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for optimizing reimbursement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care. Advanced degree or certification is preferred. Experience in direct care within a long-term care setting or as an MDS Coordinator is required. Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing MDS and billing processes. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), MDS 3.0, Medicaid, and Medicare requirements. Genuine interest in the nursing needs of the elderly and chronically ill. Detail-oriented person with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and influence in a multidisciplinary team environment. We Hire for Heart!
