for Marketing Director at a Cannabis Company This position reports to the VP of Sales and oversees 4-5 staff members. Responsibilities include managing marketing channels for retail and wholesale, leading brand content creation, and merchandise management across MD and DC locations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Develop and lead marketing teams to execute strategies and campaigns that attract new customers.
Plan and implement advertising and promotional activities across online and in-store channels.
Coordinate with media buyers, advertising agencies, and printers on marketing projects.
Achieve departmental and personal metrics and goals.
Create data-driven marketing plans to support market growth, leveraging market insights and trends.
Oversee customer outreach through email, social media, and point-of-purchase platforms.
Collaborate with other departments to align marketing strategies with revenue goals.
Develop and manage the department budget in coordination with senior leadership and accounting.
Lead and manage direct reports to meet goals and responsibilities.
Maintain knowledge of competitors and current sales and marketing techniques.
Position Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old.
7+ years of progressive marketing experience in the consumer product industry, with CPG brand launch experience.
Willingness to pass a criminal background check.
High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
3+ years of managerial experience leading marketing teams.
Experience in marketing project management and design.
Willing to travel between MD and DC locations.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of industry trends and forecasts.
