The Role The Marketing Director leads a regional team in the development of best-in-class pursuit and marketing materials. Oversees regional pursuit marketing strategy in alignment with business goals. Provides oversight and mentorship to team members to ensure the highest level of service to internal and external clients. Strives to identify opportunities for functional excellence in support of the company's vision and strategies.
Responsibilities
Oversee the regional team responsible for the development of industry leading pursuit materials Prioritize and manage department workload and resources to ensure the highest level of service is provided to both internal and external clients Provide oversight for the pursuit process while driving the development of strong value propositions, compelling content, and high-quality materials Oversee and/or lead high priority pursuits and ensure proper resources are engaged for support Maintain awareness of pursuit strategies and materials being developed and provide continuous feedback to team Maintain strong partnership with regional leadership and internal stakeholder groups to best align pursuit marketing efforts with business strategies Engage in and contribute to regional strategy discussions Lead and/or contribute to department initiatives and ensure proper communication and rollout to team Contribute to the development and implementation of overall departmental goals Oversee team efforts on miscellaneous marketing requests from internal stakeholder groups and jobsites Contribute to regional internal and external communications, award submittals, and events as needed Maintain awareness of opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements Ability and curiosity to identify and utilize new technologies and solutions to enhance the pursuit process Identify and provide growth and development opportunities for the team Manage regional department reports and metrics Understand and support regional and company-wide strategies for growth Collaborate professionally with key external partners to support strategic goals Serve as strong representative for the team and company within local A/E/C and business community
Qualifications
10+ years in marketing within the AEC industry required BS/BA with concentration in marketing, business, English, journalism, or communications preferred Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, establish trust, and facilitate teamwork Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to apply strategic thinking and problem solving in a fast-paced environment Results-driven approach with focus on superior client service Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage resources Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage conflict Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) and Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint) Demonstrates Suffolk's Core Values of Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism, and Caring
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking. New York, New York: The market range for this role (Marketing Director, Pursuit Marketing) is as follows: $150,000 - $200,000
