Position Summary The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the firm’s marketing, branding, and communications strategies across all service lines and geographies. This role provides leadership and direction to the marketing team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and growth initiatives. The Director reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and works closely with executive leadership to strengthen the firm’s market position, enhance brand visibility, and ensure consistency across all platforms. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy Develop and lead a comprehensive marketing and branding strategy aligned with firm objectives. Build strong relationships with Market Sector Leaders, Project Managers, and Client Champions. Supervise and mentor marketing staff, providing professional development and performance guidance. Promote a culture of creativity, accountability, and results-driven marketing. Digital Marketing Direct all digital marketing initiatives including social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, paid search, and digital advertising. Oversee the design and execution of targeted campaigns to support service launches and geographic expansion. Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and ROI. Ensure proper use of marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics platforms. Brand and Communications Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistency in messaging, design, and tone across all channels. Oversee development of marketing materials, website content, social media, and internal communications. Provide editorial oversight and ensure quality, clarity, and alignment in all written materials. Support branding for events, conferences, recruiting, and client-facing initiatives. Collaboration and Oversight Partner with the Proposal Manager to ensure brand alignment in pursuit materials. Manage relationships with external consultants, media vendors, and contractors. Represent the marketing function in internal leadership meetings and at external professional events. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred). Minimum of 8 years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience in the AEC or professional services industry strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in digital marketing strategy, including SEO/SEM, paid social, email automation, and retargeting. Proficiency with marketing and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), CMS tools (e.g., WordPress), and analytics dashboards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead with a strategic mindset. Work Environment And Requirements This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment, with periodic travel required to client sites, project locations, and other firm offices. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may occasionally be required to meet organizational needs.
