This is an opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Director of B2B Marketing Event; its an opportunity for someone eager to build and shape this role from the ground up.
With over a dozen offices across the country, each featuring sophisticated, industry-leading manufacturing technology in their showrooms, we offer a unique platform for impactful event marketing. In addition, our machine tool building partner operates a state-of-the-art, multimillion-dollar facility in Chicago that also serves as a premier event venue.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute event strategies that leverage these resources to drive opportunities and increase bookings for our regional sales teams, aligning closely with the broader goals of our marketing organization. It will also include the strategic development and execution of online events, leveraging those currently in place, while identifying additional opportunities to add value to each office and their local customers.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role leads two distinct areas across Ellison:
Responsibility for all events, physical and digital, across both ET and GSC.
Roll out and ongoing management and support of our new G.R.O.W initiative.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
EVENTS – Leads and owns the national calendar of events across both ET and GSC. This includes but is not limited to:
ET’s role within IMTS.
Our annual series of JOTP events.
GSC’s calendar of physical and virtual events.
Develop and execute strategies to better leverage and utilize our showrooms – with a calendar of time and situation appropriate activities – i.e. seasonal themed events, lunch & learns and various “event in a box” type programs.
A strategy to launch and sustain an ET virtual customer engagement program – including leveraging the learning and success of GSC’s current program.
**G.R.O.W – **Lead and support the roll out across the entire organization of Ellison’s new G.R.O.W, initiative. This would include the service, parts, application engineers, spindle rebuild, tech support and Ellison Financial Servicesteams. Responsibilities:
Campaign calendar and content development plans.
Develop the training plan and training content plan – in collaboration with Sales Gravy. This includes upfront as well as onboarding for new hires.
Setting up KPI goals.
Develop and implement the lead management process.
Ensuring ongoing successful sustainment through program evolution and enhancement, new staff onboarding, setting up period programs reviews with teams and other associated efforts designed to deliver ongoing results.
This position will also have a Marketing Specialist reporting into it.
Qualifications:
To be successful the person needs a combination of subject matter expertise as well as an ability to juggle numerous tasks and projects as well as bring a newly developed strategic initiative through to successful implementation and sustainment.
We expect the right individual will bring experience developing and executing B2B marketing events and support of a sales organization. What's more they will be able to articulate how each event was chosen and how success - or return on investment - was measured. This role is all about leading and creating the possibilities associated with events across numerous resources and departments within the organization.
The ideal person will be located in the Chicagoland market, but could also be based out of a major market for Ellison, such as Houston.
