This role is best suited for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution, thrives on meeting goals, and sees marketing as a true engine for revenue generation. Candidates with a proven record of increasing paid attendance and strong financial acumen will stand out.
Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of effective email marketing campaigns
Drive attendee growth by expanding our database and exploring new channels to reach broader audiences
Execute targeted social media initiatives to increase registrations
Build and manage partner marketing campaigns that expand reach
Develop marketing collateral to support exhibitor and sponsorship sales
This position reports directly to the Brand Director.
Job Duties Execution of Direct Marketing Efforts to Drive Attendee Revenue to the Events Responsible for the execution of all marketing plans
Write email copy, pull queries, deploy email, and provide analysis
Responsible for implementing best practices for the optimization of all landing pages
Execute and update all marketing copy for each event on the event websites
Utilize programmatic marketing tools and technologies to drive additional attendee revenue to each event
Maintaining successful expense-to-revenue ratio of marketing efforts to maximize ROI
Email Acquisition and Campaign Analysis Responsible for finding new list sources to bring more public sector, owner, private sector and other key professionals to the events
Execution of partnership agreements focused on securing brand awareness and outreach to promote our events to new professionals in industry and government
Provide regular campaign analysis and measurement of how emails, offers or email acquisition efforts are performing
Support database management and audience development efforts for key target markets
Social Media Execute social media plan and execution
Implement multi-channel marketing efforts, such as Google AdWords, AdRoll, etc.
Provide regular campaign analysis, sharing what offer(s) worked and why they were successful
Set up and optimization of event websites, along with continual upkeep throughout the marketing cycle
Create and deploy emails to generate exhibit and sponsorship leads for each event
Create annual media kits and update as required
Travel Responsible for traveling to each event and assisting onsite with registration, operations or other duties as assigned.
Requirements 5-7 years event marketing experience
Ability to multi-task and work at a very fast pace
Detail-oriented and extremely organized
Excellent marketing writer and communicator
Knowledge of social media marketing and audience development
Experience and expert skills in the areas of email and online marketing
B.A. or Four-year degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field or commensurate experience
Basic knowledge of html, database management software, data analysis software, Photoshop or equivalent design software
