The Market Director of Sales is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving top-line revenue growth across a portfolio of hotels within a defined market. This role leads and supports property-level sales teams, executes multi-property sales strategies, and manages key relationships with owners and stakeholders. The position collaborates closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations to maximize performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive seller, strong team leader, and results-driven professional with experience in multi-unit hotel sales leadership. This role reports to the Regional Director of Sales and provides oversight to Area Directors, Directors of Sales, and Sales Managers at the property level.
Responsibilities
• Recruit, train, and develop top-performing sales talent, cultivating a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and results. • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning, partnering with revenue management and hotel leadership to align with market trends and maximize profitability. • Lead and support hotel sales teams, providing strategic direction, daily operational guidance, and performance management to exceed sales goals. • Conduct regular site visits and coaching sessions to ensure adherence to brand sales standards, elevate team performance, and drive accountability. • Drive revenue growth by developing and executing market-wide sales strategies across multiple hotel properties, targeting key accounts and high-value market segments.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated success in driving proactive sales efforts and securing new business. • Proficient in hotel sales tools and CRM systems such as Delphi, CI/TY, Salesforce, or similar platforms. • 4+ years of hotel sales leadership, ideally in a multi-property or corporate role. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Must be able to travel up to 75% within the assigned market.
