About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director for its Private Client Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tax and consulting engagements, providing executive presence as the primary client contact, and directing communication with government agencies on complex matters. This role requires a critical member of the office/region leadership team to have a strong background in estate, income, gift, and trust tax consulting and compliance, as well as experience in charitable giving, philanthropic foundations, executive compensation, and various financial planning areas. The Tax Managing Director will also be involved in expanding their technical knowledge, prioritizing and reviewing work, and utilizing strong analytical and decision-making skills to assist with client needs.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, at least 10 years' of experience in accounting, finance, or law, and a professional certification such as a CPA, EA, or equivalent. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in the private client service area, prior supervisory experience, and a preference for those with a background in public accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, leadership, technical, and business development skills, and be adept at managing and developing a team. Responsibilities also include business development, people development, and a proactive approach to their own career and technical development.
