About the Role
The Managing Director, Performance Improvement will be responsible for leading high-impact consulting engagements focused on operational transformation, financial optimization, and organizational turnaround for private equity–backed and growth businesses. You will diagnose critical issues in liquidity, working capital, cost structure, process inefficiencies, and organizational design, and build executable plans to drive measurable improvements. You will supervise project delivery and ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with client expectations, while identifying risks and mitigating them proactively. You will also spearhead business development, cultivating relationships with private equity firms and corporate executives, generating new mandates, expanding the firm’s footprint, and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth.
Applicants should have at least 15 years' experience in management consulting, private equity operations, or corporate performance roles, with a proven track record leading performance improvement transformations across multiple sectors. Deep expertise in financial value creation levers, operational restructuring, working capital optimization, and change management is essential. Exceptional communication, executive presence, stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and leadership skills are required. The ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments is also critical.
