About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Tax with a strong background in public accounting and a focus on business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive client contact, expanding the business practice, and coaching staff on business development strategies. This role requires the ability to cultivate new clients, increase services to existing clients, and identify cross-serving opportunities. The Managing Director will also have direct profit responsibility for a specialty practice, be involved in ongoing planning, marketing, and business development, and ensure the team meets budgeted goals.
Applicants for the Managing Director of Tax position at the company should have a Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting or a related field, along with 10 years of supervisory experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have an active CPA or equivalent certification, the ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in relevant technology, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of high business integrity, client service, and leadership are essential. The role also involves ensuring quality control standards are met, participating in administrative aspects of the business unit, and may include membership in the Senior Operations Management Team.
