About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Events to lead strategic event management in support of a cohort-wide fundraising team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of fundraising events and communication strategies that drive revenue, engage supporters, and advance the organization's mission. This role requires a specialist in fundraising and development with a proven track record in event fundraising, capable of independently developing and executing the content and experiences essential to the strategy of acquiring, cultivating, retaining, and diversifying the donor portfolio. The Managing Director will work closely with Executive Directors, regional advisory board members, and other front-line fundraisers to maximize giving and engage donors in local communities.
Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' related experience in development and fundraising events, a Bachelor's degree, and a strong background in relationship building, project management, and innovation. The role demands a highly skilled individual with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, who can effectively manage multiple projects and meet ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment. The Managing Director will be a key member of the Field Fundraising team, contributing to the long-term vision and strategy to achieve development goals for both public and private funding. Occasional weekend or evening work hours and travel to lead regional events are required. The ideal candidate will be a true team player, with a strong team orientation and the ability to build relationships within and across teams.
