Overview We’re looking for a Managing Director, Asset Management to join our Private Equity Real Estate team. In this role, you will be covering a portfolio of assets located in Northern California in production and management of investments.
What You'll Do Day to day responsibilities may include:
Direct market development, redevelopment, and investment activities aligned with client goals and returns
Set and achieve property leasing goals through broker management and tenant negotiations. Analyze market conditions, tenant credit, and investment profitability
Source and structure ground-up development joint ventures, including oversight of documentation and partner relationships
Manage portfolio performance against market benchmarks and client expectations
Lead regional engineering and development teams while overseeing external partnerships
Support capital raising efforts through presentations to clients and consultants
Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to source investment opportunities
Meet client reporting deadlines with accuracy

Who You Are Bachelor\'s degree with evidence of a strong background in finance, mathematics, economics, or business. A degree in real estate and/or an MBA is preferred
10+ years commercial real estate experience with a track record of success with previous asset management/development assignments
Experience with multiple product types such as retail, multi-family, office and industrial
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Experience managing a private equity portfolio
Demonstrated leadership experience (to lead service providers)
Strong oral/written communication skills, negotiation and presentation skills
Independent decision-making ability on complex issues
Proven diplomatic and problem-solving capabilities
Excellence in organization and deadline management
Strong analytical skills and legal document interpretation
Must be able to travel to markets within assigned regions up to 30% of time, or as required.
Salary and Benefits Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly): $174000 - $236000 / year
Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
Pension Eligible: No
Location and Work Environment The highly preferred location would be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA. We will also consider remote employees. Additional Asset Management offices include Chicago, Denver, and Seattle. This role offers in-office or four days in-office and one day remote; you’ll work with your leader to determine the best option.
