Managed Care Director-Managed Care

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Contract Law, or equivalent.

Minimum 5-8 years progressive healthcare experience in managed care contracting, developing strategies and reimbursement methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and creditably with physicians.

Successful track record in developing and implementing managed care strategies.

Demonstrated effective negotiation of managed care contracts.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to deal successfully with strong personalities.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead a group through consensus building in a quality managed care environment.

Demonstrated strong computer skills — must be proficient in MS Office software, database programs and Excel spreadsheet.

Must demonstrate excellent oral and written skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide effective negotiation of managed care contracts for AMC and HAS.

Develop and maintain a managed care strategic plan using current knowledge of healthcare in general, managed care activities and trends in the region and the nation.

Manage the Messenger Model for communicating potential payer contract information to the hospitals and independent physicians.

Maintains all facility credentialing for Archbold entities, Hospital, SNF, Ancillary departments and others as needed.

Develop and maintain payer performance report cards in conjunction with Revenue Management Department Managed Care Analysts and use this information to enhance contract negotiations.

Demonstrates appropriate Financial skills.
