What it's like to be a Maintenance Director at Maintenance Director As the Full-Time Maintenance Director for the City of Pharr, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing city policies for building and grounds maintenance. Completion of FEMA ICS Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800 required. Completion of ICS 300 and 400 preferred or required within six (6) months of employment. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities and/or grounds maintenance, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role. Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, general construction, landscaping, and irrigation systems. Knowledge of applicable building and environmental codes and regulations (OSHA, ADA, fire safety, building codes, EPA standards, etc.). Proficiency with facility management software, work order systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
