Introduction We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance and Housekeeping Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in facility management. As the Maintenance Director, you will oversee all maintenance and housekeeping operations, ensuring the efficiency and safety of our facilities. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of all facilities. Oversee the maintenance and housekeeping team, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Coordinate and manage all maintenance activities, including scheduling and resource allocation. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs. Manage the maintenance budget and optimize costs without compromising quality. Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and activities. Stay updated on the latest maintenance technologies and implement them to improve operations. Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities and outcomes. Ensure work orders are completed within 48 hours (non-emergency). Be available for emergencies in the building (after-hour calls included). Tracking expenses for the department and staying within the monthly budget. Job Requirements for Maintenance Director Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field. Must have experience working with Seniors in an Assisted Living environment. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team of maintenance and housekeeping professionals. Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Experience with maintenance management software and systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. Experience in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations.
