Are you a seasoned maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs)? We are seeking a motivated Director of Maintenance to lead and manage all aspects of facility operations—ensuring safety, functionality, and a high standard of care within a healthcare environment.
About the Role As the Director of Maintenance, you will oversee a team responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and mechanical systems. Your leadership will ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting an environment focused on resident well-being and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, CMS, fire safety codes, building regulations, and other applicable standards.
Lead and manage maintenance staff and contractors to handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs efficiently.
Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Identify process improvements, safety enhancements, and cost-saving opportunities.
Manage budgets, inventory, capital projects, and vendor relationships.
Conduct regular inspections and oversee repairs of all life safety and building systems.
Ensure the upkeep of both interior and exterior areas, including landscaping and waste management.
What You Bring Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Plant Operations, or Maintenance within a healthcare setting (Skilled Nursing Facility experience required ).
Technical expertise in building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, CMS) related to long-term care facilities.
Ability to lead teams, resolve complex issues, and prioritize operational needs effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent systems for documentation and reporting.
A proactive approach to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
