What We’re Looking For: The Executive Director, Legal, for Technology & Strategic Transactions will report to the VP, Legal for IP and Litigation, leading the legal aspects of technology and strategic transactions. You will work on IP protection, privacy, dispute resolution, and product liability, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Contracts teams to draft and negotiate contracts related to Iridium’s technologies. You will also support the Iridium NTN DirectSM initiative. Responsibilities include: Drafting and negotiating technology transaction contracts Developing standard contract forms for distribution partners Drafting IP and software license agreements Supporting negotiations with distribution partners Advising on data rights and IP issues with U.S. Government contracts Managing procurement of third-party technology and IP Providing legal advice on M&A transactions and contractual disputes Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school, member of Virginia Bar or eligible for admission 7-10 years in corporate law, with focus on technology transactions and contracts Experience with complex contracts, IP, and open-source licenses Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills Ability to collaborate across departments and manage legal risks Preferred: Technical background in engineering or computer science Experience with U.S. Government data rights and privacy laws Patent prosecution and dispute resolution experience Additional info: On-call and travel up to 10% Position based in Rockville, MD, with salary range $120,000-$150,000 Iridium is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
