We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Key Accounts to lead and grow our distributor sales channel for our professional hair extension brand. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key distribution partners, developing strategic growth plans, driving revenue, and ensuring brand consistency and success across the professional beauty landscape.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Key Accounts to lead and grow our distributor sales channel for our professional hair extension brand. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key distribution partners, developing strategic growth plans, driving revenue, and ensuring brand consistency and success across the professional beauty landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth:
Own and grow revenue targets for top-tier distributors across domestic and international markets.
Develop and execute annual account plans and quarterly business reviews with each distributor.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring alignment on sales goals, marketing initiatives, and education programs.
Sales Strategy & Forecasting
Build and implement strategic sales plans that align with company objectives and account-specific goals.
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and promotional planning for assigned accounts.
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and ROI on trade spend to optimize growth opportunities.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Education, Operations, and Product Development to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Work with the education team to support distributor events, in-salon training, and stylist outreach.
Mentor and lead account executives or managers as the team scales.
Relationship Development
Strengthen long-term partnerships by fostering trust, collaboration, and solution-driven selling.
Navigate multiple decision-makers within distributor organizations (sales, marketing, operations, purchasing).
Attend trade shows, distributor sales meetings, and industry events to represent the brand and strengthen relationships.
Brand Representation & Compliance
Ensure all distributor marketing and promotional activities are aligned with brand standards.
Monitor compliance with MAP pricing and distribution agreements.
Requirements
7–10+ years of experience in professional beauty sales, preferably with hair extensions or salon-grade products.
Proven track record managing national or regional distributor accounts (e.g., SalonCentric, CosmoProf, independent distributors).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable influencing C-suite buyers.
Ability to travel up to 30–50% as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience launching new products or brands into the professional channel.
Background working with education teams to drive sell-through and stylist engagement.
Understanding of salon dynamics and professional beauty marketing strategies.
