Summary
The Marketing Director oversees brand strategy with the region, as well as the development & execution of 360 Animation Campaigns for all respective innovation and core business. They will act as the strategic marketing lead partnering closely with Global Marketing and external retailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops the brand’s marketing strategy including influencer, event, paid and organic elements to drive awareness and high EMV results.
Executes the global vision for visual merchandising across all physical touchpoints including in-store permanent displays, pop-up merchandising moments and events.
Performs market & customer analysis (market intel, market NPD sizing, customer feedback, customer shopping behaviors, CRM data) to ensure our fair share of market and retailer needs are met.
Successfully executes the brand’s sampling strategy and budget across all channels to drive evergreen trial and build activations around key pay-to-play moments.
Manages the launch alignment timeline with the global marketing, regional sales team and demand planning to ensure all key milestones are achieved.
Owns the retailer marketing relationship for (insert retailer names), working closing with account management teams on key needs for top retailers.
Tracks market and competitive activity (new launches, exposures, reviews, media, etc) and provides regular feedback to the global Marketing team on trends.
Oversee internal and external teams to ensure that the marketing plan is implemented with ensuring timely delivery of all elements, getting the order form setup, ongoing collaboration and then soliciting feedback for improvement by way of post-mortem and weekly results tracking.
Follows competition and communicates market trends on a monthly basis.
Visits field and occasionally helps to execute events/animations as needed.
Makes strategic recommendations to develop her/his lines, either through product launches, extensions, reformulations or basic business support.
Create efficiencies in processes and facilitate the internal process of input and approval of programs.
Mobilizes and empowers a team to ideate, execute and deliver results.
Own and manage the relationship with the external Marketing & PR agency, making sure the agency: Hits key success metrics, delivers both the Global (overall brand) and Local (region-specific) vision and performs well in events, influencer and PR engagements, PR outreach, and paid media
Own and be responsible for managing all related budgets, including: General marketing, trade marketing (B2B/retail initiatives) and visual merchandising (VM)
Requirements
A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
8-10 years of marketing experience is required, cosmetics marketing is a plus.
Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; AI tools including Gamma & Chat GPT
Demonstrated project management skills including Asana.
Strategic and demonstrated problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks is a must.
Strong financial / analytical experience including sales forecasting, analysis of business, profit, budget management.
Ability to travel 30-40%
Thrives in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
Fostering teamwork, ability to influence others and maintaining a positive attitude, and always taking initiative and being proactive.
Solid understanding of ROI analysis, metrics and program/budget forecasting.
