Overview

LABUR is supporting a client through a critical infrastructure transformation aimed at resolving fragmentation and performance challenges across their global IT landscape. This engagement focuses on designing and implementing a secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that enables enterprise platforms to operate with high availability and alignment to business goals. The IT Director will lead efforts to unify infrastructure across facilities and offices, modernize data centers and hybrid environments, and strengthen oversight of networks, cloud services, and IT operations, ensuring the organization is equipped to support growth, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Create a global IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the company goals and the IT roadmap and spearhead execution against that strategy.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of global infrastructure including data centers, networking, cloud platforms, storage, and compute resources.
  • Facilitate 24 / 7 operational support, monitoring, and incident management for global infrastructure services.
  • Work closely with security leadership and security teams to make infrastructure aligns with industry standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Lead a global team of infrastructure engineers, architects, and operations staff. Cultivate a top-performing, accountable, collaborative, and inclusive culture between the team and the overall IT organization.
  • Assess the current Infrastructure design and decide if adjustments to the strategy are required to satisfy business needs.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders for vendor evaluation, selection and contract negotiation. Create and actively manage the infrastructure budget.
  • Design and implement strong disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Support the creation and execution of a robust technical department process that spans both enterprise infrastructure and operational technology.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of various projects across global infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Proven infrastructure leadership experience with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibilities of roles.
  • Strong infrastructure experience across data centers, networking, cloud platforms, storage, and compute.
  • Proven experience successfully leading infrastructure programs and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders and teams across the organization.
  • Superb team leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Superb planning, time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong budget management skills.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve, make decisions, and work through conflict.
