A critical access hospital in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) for a full-time, travel contract opportunity. This leadership role focuses on oversight, regulatory compliance, and strategic operations no staffing or PIC duties required. Facility Details: 25-bed critical access hospital with an average daily census of ~20 Pharmacy operates 7:00 AM 10:00 PM daily Remote order entry handled via Pipeline after hours On-call not required Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM No weekends, on-call, or compounding duties Pharmacy Team: Staff of 56 pharmacists and 67 technicians PRN staff available as needed Technology & Systems: Order Entry: Paragon / Allscripts Automation: Pyxis Remote Order Entry: Pipeline 340B Program supported by a dedicated team Required Experience: Active California Pharmacist license Recent leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy setting Solid understanding of and experience with: Policy & Procedure (crosswalk development and implementation) Regulatory compliance & audits Pharmacy Chargemaster maintenance MERP & ASP program oversight P&T committee leadership Bluesight utilization 340B program familiarity (direct management not required) This is a highly autonomous leadership role ideal for a results-driven pharmacist with proven regulatory, administrative, and operational expertise in hospital pharmacy management.
