Position Summary: A reputable long-term care facility in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high standards of care, and supporting nursing staff in a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing and scheduling.

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement programs.

Mentor and support nursing staff through training and guidance.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required.

Qualifications:

Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in long-term care settings.
