As the Integration Lead, you will lead the Project integration of complex projects across all phases from pursuit to delivery. Operating on the contractor delivery side, your focus will be to ensure all technical systems & civils interfaces along with all stakeholder interfaces are cohesively designed, installed, tested, commissioned and handed over with an end goal of meeting objectives of not only the Project but also the contractor client. This role involves close coordination with internal engineering disciplines, contractor clients and subcontractors, and client-side stakeholders to manage the entire Project Integration Liaising with the contractor, design, systems engineering & system assurance teams and interface teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Construction Integration
Ensure alignment and traceability of requirements from pursuit to delivery, interface definitions, SMART requirements decomposition and verification and validation (V&V) activities.
Oversee the application of the systems engineering lifecycle (following V-Model) from design through commissioning.
Development of Management Plans, not limited to System Integration and Interface plans, Configuration Change management plans etc.
Lead the integration of construction & design schedules.
Establish scope baseline through requirements and manage change control configuration thereafter.
Ensure constructability and procurement Integration within the designs
Interface Management
Lead interface coordination between systems, civil works, OEMs, and subcontractors.
Oversee the development of the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Management Matrix.
Facilitate resolution of interface clashes and ensure timely closure of interface-related issues through interface workshops and risk reviews.
Feed interface inputs into an integrated P6 schedule
Systems Assurance & Safety
Oversee the activities of systems assurance to ensure all systems meet safety, performance, and quality standards in accordance with international rail standards (e.g., EN50126, EN50128).
Contribute and manage hazard identification, system safety plans, RAM analysis, and assurance documentation.
Liaise with Independent Safety Assessors (ISA) and client teams for system acceptance.
Integration Testing & Commissioning Support
Plan and oversee end-to-end system integration testing including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and system trial operations.
Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure readiness and alignment with staging and access constraints.
Stakeholder Engagement
Interface with design consultants (internal and partners), subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure integration goals are met.
Report regularly on integration progress, technical risks, and assurance status to senior management and client integration teams via digital automated dashboards.
Support change management processes related to technical interfaces and systems changes.
Qualifications
Executed, from start to finish, a minimum of 2 projects within the Transit and/or Energy space in the last 5 years
Degree in Engineering, Rail Systems, Civil, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering & Assurance as well as Interface and Integration management.
Proficiency in tools like DOORS, MS Project, Primavera, and BIM/3D coordination platforms is highly desirable.
