The Institute for Therapeutic Innovation (ITI) is a leading academic organization dedicated to advancing research in infectious diseases, with a particular focus on identifying new and life-changing therapies to reduce patient mortality and morbidity. The institute is located at the UF Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona (Orlando, FL), a 110,000 sq. ft. facility, with ITI occupying 15,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art laboratory space dedicated to infectious disease research. ITI s mission is to foster groundbreaking scientific discoveries that improve public health outcomes and combat the growing global threat of antimicrobial resistance.

We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and highly skilled Director to lead the institute and guide our efforts in revolutionizing antimicrobial drug research. For more than a decade, we have achieved this by combining world-class applied science with cutting-edge mathematical analysis.
ITI has studied a wide variety of pathogens, including pathogenic viruses, nosocomial pathogens, and Tier 1 Select Agents.

Position Summary:
The Director of the Institute for Therapeutic Innovation will oversee the institute s strategic direction, scientific vision, and day-to-day operations. This leadership role includes setting research priorities, cultivating a collaborative environment for interdisciplinary teams, securing funding, and ensuring the institute s objectives align with global health needs. The Director will work closely with government agencies, industry partners, and academic collaborators to advance innovative research in antimicrobial resistance and drug discovery.
