Inpatient Rehab Physician Medical Director – Private Group Opportunity Location: Hickory, North Carolina Position Type: Full-Time Practice Overview Join a respected, private physician group in Hickory, NC. We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to serve as Medical Director and attending for our inpatient rehab unit. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead clinical efforts while working in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment focused on patient-centered outcomes. Position Highlights Serve as attending physician for inpatient rehabilitation patients Monday–Friday daytime schedule, 40-hour workweek Oversee admissions, discharges, consults, and daily progress notes Average daily census of 16 patients, max of 20 beds Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and family conferences Collaborate with the Program Director to oversee clinical performance and quality metrics Qualifications Required: MD or DO with an unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina Valid CAQH profile Eligible to treat Medicare and Medicaid patients Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation At least 2 years of experience working directly with physical, occupational and speech therapy teams Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary, with bonus potential Paid vacation Flexible scheduling options 100% employer-paid healthcare insurance Retirement plan Why Choose Us?
