The Imaging Services director is responsible for oversight of imaging services and personnel. The director is also responsible for the consolidated imaging record, while also directing the PACS administrator. The director maintains operating and staffing budgets while providing quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
Gives supervision to all imaging technologists. Assists with operational assessment and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Monitors departmental programs for quality assessment and improvement. Responsible for department staffing and scheduling. Oversees department meetings and provides staff in-service education. Develops and reviews department policies and procedures. Keeps medical staff informed of department actions and maintains a positive relationship with physicians. Prepares an annual budget and assures appropriate financial performance within the department. Keeps abreast of Joint Commission standards and takes appropriate action to comply. Conducts performance appraisals of all staff according to hospital policy. Coordinates image quality for all imaging services in the organization. Maintains clinical standards for affiliated community colleges. Provides orientation and training for all physicians and medical students. Complies with all state, FDA, MQSA, ACR and NRC requirements.
Education/Credentials:
Associate's Degree
Bachelor's Degree
MO LPN License in good standing
BLS certification within 30 days of hire
3-5 years of experience preferred
ARRT, ARDMS, or CNMT registry
