Job Summary The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function across the organization. This includes strategic planning, recruitment and retention, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and policy development. The HR Director acts as a strategic partner to executive leadership and ensures that HR initiatives support organizational goals and comply with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
Advise executive leadership on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
Oversee full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Employee Relations
Provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
Ensure a consistent, fair, and legally compliant approach to employee relations.
Compensation & Benefits
Administer compensation programs and maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
Oversee benefits enrollment, open enrollment communication, and ongoing employee education.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC).
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Training & Development
Design and implement training programs that support staff development, regulatory compliance, and leadership growth.
Monitor and enforce completion of mandatory training and continuing education.
Policy & Procedure Management
Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks.
Provide ongoing guidance to management and staff regarding policy interpretation and enforcement.
HRIS & Reporting
Manage HRIS platforms, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Produce HR reports and key metrics for leadership decision-making.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or multi-site operations is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycor, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with regular travel to facility sites.
Occasional extended hours may be required to meet operational deadlines.
