Overview This role is for a HR Director (Entertainment & Sports) on-site in Los Angeles, CA, with hybrid work (minimum three days in office). Base pay range: $130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr. Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 (Bonus and LTI eligible). Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid- 3 day minimum in office). This position is with a well-known media and entertainment company that has a wide portfolio of film, television and streaming services. Job description: The HR Director will report to the SVP, HR, Corporate. You will be the key HR partner for several functions within the Sports and Entertainment businesses and will drive HR projects spanning onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance feedback, talent attraction and development, and HR’s business impact. You will strategize in organization design & integration, staffing, compensation planning, manager coaching, employee development, workforce planning, and performance management. Responsibilities Be the chief interpreter and implementer for HR policies, practices and procedures for all levels of employees, aligning with the business mission, values and strategic vision. Champion the employee perspective and company needs to promote a positive, collaborative, respectful, and engaging work environment. Partner with clients and the internal talent acquisition team to create innovative recruitment strategies, sourcing diverse candidates, and selecting candidates to build the best team for the organization. Drive strategic HR projects locally and company-wide, ideating and executing programs that develop and engage employees throughout their career life-cycle. What you’ll need 7+ years of relevant, professional-level HR experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Desired Characteristics Media Maven – familiarity with the media industry flow, logistics, and terminology; production experience is a plus. Team Leader – prior experience leading and developing an HR team with meaningful feedback. Project Wrangler – ability to identify opportunities for improvement, break down tasks, execute, and seek feedback to partner with clients and improve workflows.
